Led the $24M Series B; built FP&A from zero.
Eighteen years in startup finance — two of them as the CFO.
Fundraising, runway, and board-ready numbers — embedded, part-time, senior.

I’m the finance leader you bring in before the round — not after the fire.
I spent eighteen years in startup finance — VP of Finance at a Series B fintech that exited to a public acquirer, then CFO of two venture-backed companies through Series A and B raises. In 2017 I left to do the part of the job I loved most: walking in at the inflection point, getting the numbers honest, and helping a founder raise the round and survive the scale. Today I run a focused fractional practice. I take a small number of clients at a time so each one gets a real CFO, not a junior with a CFO title.
Where I’ve done the job.
Raised seed + Series A; cut burn 34%.
Series A→C; through a public-company acquisition.
Owned the board model and investor reporting.
- CPA — Texas, active
- MBA, Finance — UT Austin — McCombs
- 18 years in startup finance — VP Finance → 2× CFO → fractional
- CFA charterholder — CFA Institute
- Three to four active clients at a time — never two that compete.
- Remote-first, across US time zones, on-site when it matters.
- NDA before we go deep. Your numbers stay yours.
- The goal is to work myself out of a job: build the team, then hand off clean.
